Mr. Bean's New High Tech Adventure
Well imagine me Mr. Bean running a high tech chip lab. Oh the calamities that would inevitably ensue! ASML and Imec have teamed up to open a new test laboratory in Veldhoven Netherlands. What could possibly go wrong?
Beaning Around with Lithography
Lithography huh? Sounds like a fancy word for drawing with light. I'm quite the artist myself you know. But these chipmakers and supply companies get to play with a 350 million euro tool that can make chips smaller and faster just like my Mini Cooper!
Lights Chips Action!
Only the bigwigs like TSMC Samsung Intel SK Hynix and Samsung can handle ASML's cutting edge EUV machines. The new High NA tool promises even better resolution perhaps I should use it to get my eyebrows in perfect shape!
Bean's Commercial Manufacturing Debut
Commercial manufacturing with the new tool is expected to kick off in 2025 2026. I wonder if they need a quirky lab assistant who excels at comedic timing to help out. I'm available!
TSMC Says No to High NA
TSMC doesn't seem too fazed by the High NA tool claiming they don't need it for their A16 chips. Maybe they're planning to put a picture of me on those chips instead now that's something I could endorse!
The Beanification of Chip Manufacturing
In a world of tech giants and cutting edge machinery a dash of Mr. Bean's humor and charm could make chip manufacturing a lot more entertaining. Who needs high tech seriousness when you can have high strung hilarity?
