Reconsidering Fees
So Bhutan might shake things up with its tourism fees eh? The Prime Minister mentioned that the $100 daily fee could either go higher or increase wait what? Will travelers have to start farming gold in Bhutan now as well? It's like trying to farm for a rare mount in WoW – you never know what you're gonna get!
Quota and Demand
"We're going to have a quota of 300,000 tourists," Tobgay said. Well it seems like there's gonna be a competition for spots like trying to get into a Mythic raid group. Talk about travelers facing a real boss fight to visit Bhutan.
Slow Return of Travelers
Looks like Bhutan's tourism industry is a bit slow right now – sounds like the login queue on patch day. But hey the Prime Minister believes things will pick up soon. Just like waiting for the next expansion am I right?
Fee Changes and Confusion
"A lot of confusion," Tobgay acknowledged. Well that sounds familiar – just like trying to understand a new WoW patch. But hey at least the $100 fee is funding a good cause right? It's like donating to a charity event in game but for real!
Tourists Having a Say
"Truth be told I think $200 per day as a sustainable development fee many tourists are willing to pay," says Tobgay. It's like saying "Hey I'll farm for a rare mount if it means helping out a good cause!"
A Small Part in Bhutan's Development
"Most tourists are delighted that they can play a small part — a small meaningful part — in the sustainable development of Bhutan," Tobgay told CNBC. It's like joining a guild in WoW and feeling like you're really making a difference in Azeroth!
