Drunk in flight: The Highs and Lows

Well well well it seems like even the sky isn't safe from the dangers of a good old snooze after a few drinks. A study by the German Aerospace Center has shown that combining alcohol and inflight naps can mess with your heart rate decrease oxygen saturation in your blood and overall make your flight experience a lot more interesting.

No More Booze Just Snooze

I guess it's time to rethink those pre flight drinks if you want to arrive at your destination in one piece. The researchers recommended airlines to put a cap on alcohol consumption during flights to avoid potential health complications. Looks like it's "no more mimosas at 30,000 feet" from now on!

Flying High with Low Oxygen

Flying already messes with your body by lowering the oxygen levels in your blood due to the reduced pressure in the cabin. Throw in some booze and you've got a recipe for disaster. The study found that young and healthy participants weren't safe from the effects either so it's time to reconsider that in flight cocktail.
