Doordash stock goes up, maybe to buy more donuts Donut, is there anything they can't do
  • Doordash stock unexpectedly rises despite disappointing Q4 earnings.

  • Analysts highlight improving unit economics and growth in new verticals.
  • Company expects to see the benefits of its investment in 2026.

D'oh Nuts Wall Street Sees the Hole AND the Donut

Woohoo Doordash stock went up, even though they kinda messed up their numbers. It's like when I mess up at the plant, but Mr. Burns is too busy counting his money to notice. Apparently, these Wall Street guys, they're looking at the bigger picture. They're seeing Doordash spending money now, but making even MORE money later. Mmm, money.

Deliver-oooooh, What's This Deliveroo Thingy

So, Doordash bought this thing called Deliveroo. Sounds like something Lisa would name her pet rock. But these fancy analysts are saying it's gonna double Doordash's, uh, "total addressable market." Which I think means they'll be delivering even MORE food, even farther away. Maybe even to other countries I once tried delivering Duff Beer to Itchy and Scratchy Land, that didn't end well. You know, Oil Prices Surge Amidst Middle East Tensions and Stockpile Declines are also a concern, it could affect the prices of deliveries.

Autonomous Delivery? Doh, Not My Job

Last time Doordash talked about newfangled gadgets like "autonomous delivery," their stock went down faster than a donut in my hand. But this time, everyone's all excited. I guess they're finally figuring out that robots delivering our food is the future. Unless those robots start demanding donuts for payment. Then we're all doomed.

2026: The Year of the Doh-livery

These Doordash guys, they're saying all this spending on new tech is gonna pay off in 2026. That's like, a whole lot of donuts away. But they say they're being "very disciplined." Whatever that means. As long as they don't start cutting back on sprinkles, I'm good.

Warehouses Full of…Snacks

So, Doordash is building warehouses. I hope they're full of donuts and Squishees. Apparently, they're trying to get the food closer to the customers, which means faster deliveries. Which means…more time for napping! Woohoo

Subscribers: More People Addicted to Delivery Like Me

Doordash also said they have a record number of subscribers. These are the folks paying extra for all sorts of perks. Basically, they're like me, but with more money. Mmm, perks.
