Boeing's Big Plans
Boeing set out to make a space capsule fit for humans in 2014 thinking they would be the 'very nice' ones to take astronauts to the International Space Station. They signed a $4.2 billion contract with NASA under the Commercial Crew Program but things haven't exactly been a 'great success' so far.
Outshined by SpaceX
SpaceX the brainchild of the mighty Elon Musk also got in on the space capsule game with their Crew Dragon. NASA gave them $2.6 billion probably because they didn't want to be 'very nice' about it and wanted to 'high five' with success. SpaceX has been 'great success' with over a dozen missions while Boeing is just trying to catch up like a 'sexy time' in a tight suit.
Boeing's Struggles
Boeing has been 'high fiving' with delays and cost overruns like it's going out of style. They've only completed a few missions out of the six they promised NASA. It's like they're stuck in a 'not so niiice!' loop.
SpaceX to the Rescue
SpaceX is 'very nice' with completing missions left and right launching astronauts and even private citizens into space. They've been 'high five ing' their way to success while Boeing is still trying to figure out how to launch a capsule without any 'wa wa wee wa.'
The Future of Starliner
Boeing needs to complete a milestone crewed mission to get Starliner certified for operational missions. Will they finally be able to catch up to SpaceX's success or will they continue to struggle like a 'sexy time' in a tight suit? Only time will tell.
