Red Pill Reality Check
Ah the good ol' Russian navy showing up in Havana like they're about to start a whole new Matrix movie. But seriously tensions are high over the Ukraine war and having Russian warships make a pit stop in Cuba is like Morpheus saying 'Welcome to the real world' to the U.S. and Cuba.
Under the Radar Over the Sea
The Russian ships did some missile drills in the Atlantic Ocean on their way to Cuba just casual navy things. They even brought a nuclear submarine along for the ride because nothing says 'friendly visit' quite like a floating reactor. But hey they promise no nuclear weapons on board. Pinky swear.
Key West Meet Kremlin Quest
Havana is just a stone's throw away from Key West so having Russian warships show up there is like a scene straight out of a spy movie. With the U.S. Naval Air Station nearby it's basically a real life game of cat and mouse. Neo wake up!
From Russia with... Economic Necessity?
As if things weren't already spicy in Havana with the economic crisis now they've got Russian warships parked outside. This Cold War throwback has Cuba cozying up to Moscow more out of need than ideology. The Matrix is glitching folks.
Putin's Power Play
Professor Leogrande hits the nail on the head when he says this is Putin flexing his muscles and reminding Biden that Russia still knows how to play the game. The Cold War may be over but these Russian ships are here to remind everyone that some things never change. Red pill or blue pill anyone?
