Gold Schmold Stock's the Rock
Alright dudes and dudettes it's Bart Simpson reporting live from Springfield Elementary aka my personal hellhole. But today I'm talkin' cold hard cash or rather the lack thereof. Seems like BlackRock's big cheese Larry Fink and Reliance's main man Mukesh Ambani are trying to convince folks in India to stop hoarding gold like it's the last donut in Springfield and start pumpin' that sweet sweet moolah into the stock market. As I always say: I didn't do it. Nobody saw me do it. There's no way they can prove anything.
Unproductive Shiny Things
According to Ambani, all that gold and silver just sittin' around is "unproductive". Like me in class, I guess. He says the stock market is where the real action is, where your money can actually grow. It's like turning lead into gold only less messy and more paper-y. Speaking of messy, you should see my last science experiment. Also, speaking of gold, check out Trump Chip Deal Controversy Senator Warren Smells Something Fishy
Jio BlackRock's Get Rich Quick Scheme (Maybe)
These guys aren't just talkin' the talk, they're walkin' the walk or at least waddling a bit. Reliance and BlackRock teamed up to launch some mutual funds in India. Their Jio BlackRock Asset Management already has a respectable pile of rupees under management. Of course I still prefer Bart's Get Rich Quick Schemes. They are often slightly flawed.
India the Next Big Thing According to Some Guy
Fink thinks India is gonna be huge in the next couple of decades. He says Indians should invest in their own country's growth through the stock market. I guess that makes sense. I mean if I were gonna invest in something it'd probably be Krusty Burgers. Hey Krusty what are you doing here
SIP It and See
Even though some fancy foreign investors are pullin' out, regular folks are jumpin' in. They are doin' this thing called systematic investment plans which is basically investin' little bits of money regularly. It's like slowly filling a bucket with water only instead of water it's cash and instead of a bucket it is hopefully a mountain of money. Cowabunga dude.
Returns Schmeturns What Does It All Mean
So the Indian stock market hasn't been killin' it lately compared to other emerging markets. But over the long haul it's apparently been doin' pretty well. So maybe Fink and Ambani are onto something. Or maybe it's all just a big conspiracy man. Who knows. All I know is I gotta go skateboard now. Don't have a cow man
