- The designation could cost Anthropic billions in lost revenue, prompting legal action.

Great Success Anthropic, But Also Great Problem
Jagshemash, Americans. Borat here, reporting live from... well, not Kazakhstan, but somewhere with much legal documents and scary men in suits. It seems the company Anthropic, maker of very clever thinking machines, is having a kasha with the mighty Pentagon. Like trying to sell horse to kebab shop, Anthropic finds itself labeled 'supply-chain risk.' Very bad.
Pentagon Says, 'Is Not Allowed'
The tall building that controls much army and much guns say Anthropic is like bad borscht – not to be trusted. This means no AI magic from Anthropic for soldiers and their friends. Defense Secretary, a man named Pete Hegseth, put finger down and say 'Nyet'. Like when I try to marry Pamela Anderson, the Pentagon is saying, 'Is not allowed'. Anthropic Fights Back: "This is My Wife"
But Anthropic is not going down like my neighbor Nursultan Tulyakbay. They are fighting like badger in pants. They say Pentagon's labeling causes 'irreparable harm.' This means big owie to the pocketbook. More than one hundred customers are now worried. Is like when I show up to fancy party in my mankini. People stare, people worry.
Billions of Tenges... I Mean, Dollars at Stake
The lawyers for Anthropic are saying the Pentagon action could cost 'hundreds of millions, or even multiple billions' of dollars. This is enough to buy many, many horses and make much koumiss. Anthropic is now asking the court to stop the Pentagon's mean actions, pending further review.
Pentagon Silent, Like After Bad Karaoke
When asked for comment, the Pentagon was quiet. Like after you sing very loud and very off-key at the village karaoke night. No response, just crickets. Perhaps they are planning their next move, or perhaps they are just very busy building bigger bombs. Who knows?
Will Justice Be Served? High Five
So, the battle is joined. AI versus military. Big money versus big guns. Anthropic versus Pentagon. Will Anthropic win? Will they get to sell their thinking machines to the army? Only time will tell. Until then, stay tuned, and remember: 'Chenqui!' High five.
