First You Get the Power, Then You Get the...
Alright, so the U.S. and Israel went into Iran, like they went to my wedding, uninvited and loud. Word on the street is they capped the big boss, Ayatollah Khamenei. Big deal, right? They think they're gonna stroll in, knock off a few heads, and everything's gonna be sunshine and roses. But let me tell you something, in this business, things ain't always what they seem. "Every day above ground is a good day," but wars? Those things drag on like a bad deal.
Say Hello to My Little Endgame
Trump is talking four to five weeks, these fancy analyst guys are saying different things. Suzanne Maloney from Brookings, she's saying it's gonna be complicated. No kidding. You think taking down a whole regime is like ordering a pizza? This ain't Afghanistan or Iraq, these guys are saying. What I am thinking is that the US aims are shifting like the winds. One day it is nuclear program, another day is ballistic missile and next thing they protect public from any threat, but who knows what their real objectives are, or how long it will take to get them? They're gambling, see? And in this game, the house always wins… unless you’re me. This reminds me of when Nvidia's Fall Stings Asia Tech Giants, things got complicated too. Always a gamble, always.
The World Is Yours… Or Is It?
This Roebuck guy, he’s saying Trump's playing with fire. The economy, the stock market, his base... everything's at risk. And only one in four Americans is backing this move. What are the real reasons? Is Trump even sure himself? See, that's the problem with these politicians. They talk a big game, but they don't know what they're doing. It is all just a big gamble.
No Regime Change, Huh? Tell Me Another One
They're saying this ain't about regime change. Sure, and I’m running a lemonade stand. Khamenei's dead, the top dogs are gone. What do they think is gonna happen? This Soltvedt cat is saying to brace for an extended conflict. He's right. Iran is a big country, lots of people, security everywhere. This ain't no walk in the park. These guys are kidding themselves if they think this is gonna be over quick.
You Wanna Play Rough? Okay. I Show You
So, what's the endgame here? Nobody knows. Boots on the ground? That's what they're afraid of. An "Iraq situation all over again", this Rifkind guy says. Nobody wants that. But how else are they gonna get what they want? It's a mess, a total mess. Like trying to clean up after one of my parties, someone ALWAYS gets shot.
In This Country, You Gotta Make the Money First. Then When You Get the Money, You Get the Power. Then When You Get the Power, Then You Get the Women
Macaire, the former ambassador, says a "forever war" ain't likely. These strikes will wind down. But this Myers dude says Iran will lose, like it's already a done deal. He says the war will be over in days. Maybe he is on to something. Afterwards, talks, settlements, deals. Who knows? One thing I know is that you don't get anything for free. Everything comes at a price. So, what will be the price for peace? We will see.
