Yo Trump What's With The Jab At The Pope

Alright listen up folks it's your pal Rocky here. I gotta say this whole thing between Trump and the Pope is like watching Apollo Creed and me in the first round. Lots of jabs lots of ego. Trump's saying Pope Leo should be thankful he's in office because of him. That's a tough line even for South Philly. I get it you gotta be strong but maybe there's a better way to show it ya know? Like I always said "Going in one more round when you don't think you can that's what makes all the difference in your life."

The Pope's Corner Peace and Prayers

Now the Pope he's coming from a different angle. He's talking peace dialogue not war. Says Trump's talk about destroying a whole civilization ain't right. He's preaching about serving life and laying down weapons. You know what that reminds me of? After the fight with Drago when I said "If I can change and you can change everybody can change." Maybe that's what the Pope's getting at. Speaking of fights and change have you read Spice Trade Heats Up While Tech Giants Find Peace? There are many fights and changes happening everywhere, not just in the ring.

Immigration A Knockout Punch

And then there's the whole immigration thing. The Pope is siding with the Bishops saying there's too much fear and anxiety. They're calling for immigration reform. I remember Mickey telling me "Every champion was once a contender who refused to give up." Maybe these guys are contenders for a better immigration policy refusing to give up on people.

Strength In The Ring and In The World

Look I ain't no politician or religious scholar. I'm just a guy from Philly who knows a thing or two about getting punched in the face and getting back up. But it seems to me that both these guys Trump and the Pope are trying to be strong in their own way. But strength ain't just about muscles or power. It's about doing what's right even when it's hard. Like when Adrian told me "Win Rocky win" that wasn't just about the fight it was about life.

Dialogue The Sweet Science of Talking

The Pope's talking about dialogue and meeting people not dominating them. That's like the sweet science of talking instead of punching. I learned that the hard way. Sometimes the best way to win a fight is to not fight at all. To talk it out to find common ground. It is better to walk it out!

Finding Common Ground Eye of the Tiger

At the end of the day maybe Trump and the Pope ain't so different. They both want what's best for their people in their own way. Maybe they just need to find a way to talk it out to find that common ground that eye of the tiger that can bring people together. Like I always say "It ain't about how hard you can hit it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward."
