OpenAI's Denise Dresser spearheads a new initiative to integrate AI into enterprise workflows.
  • OpenAI launches Deployment Company to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.
  • Acquisition of Tomoro brings 150 AI engineers to assist clients.
  • Partnerships with Bain, Goldman Sachs, and SoftBank expand OpenAI's reach.
  • Competition intensifies with Anthropic and Google in the enterprise AI space.

A Tipping Point Mr. White I Presume

Well, well, well, look what we have here. It seems OpenAI, led by this Denise Dresser, believes we're at a "tipping point" for AI in the enterprise. A tipping point, huh? Sounds like the perfect moment to apply some… pressure. This Deployment Company they're launching aims to shove AI down the throats of every business out there. I suppose they think they are the one who knocks. This whole thing reminds me of when I decided to cook meth – a calculated risk, a necessary evil, all for the greater good… or in this case, greater profit.

From Tomoro with Love A New Acquisition

They've acquired this "applied AI consulting firm" called Tomoro, bringing in 150 engineers. Forward-deployed engineers, they call them. Sounds like a bunch of glorified salesmen to me. These engineers will supposedly sit with businesses, understand their workflows, and then magically sprinkle AI dust all over everything. It's all about building intelligence, workflow by workflow. Smart move, if you ask me. Reminds me of when Jesse and I cooked with Gale Boetticher; you need the right ingredients and the right process to get the result you want. Speaking of smart moves, have you read TJX Cos Shares Set for Groovy Gains Analysts Predict? It's all about playing the market, just like playing the game with AI.

Partners in Crime a.k.a. Goldman Sachs and SoftBank

OpenAI's not going it alone, of course. They've partnered with Bain, Goldman Sachs, and SoftBank. Big names, big money. It's like building a cartel, only instead of drugs, they're pushing algorithms. Anthropic is doing the same, partnering with Goldman Sachs and Blackstone for a $1.5 billion venture. The stakes are high. This is not meth business anymore, this is Wall Street level chemistry.

Dresser's Ambition A New Heisenberg in the Making

Dresser wants enterprise to make up 50% of OpenAI's revenue by 2026. She said in April that enterprise now makes up more than 40% of OpenAI's revenue. Ambitious. She was previously CEO at Slack, so she knows how to infiltrate a business. Like I always say, never underestimate the power of a good product… or a good revenue stream.

Rivals in the AI Underworld Anthropic and Google

The heat is on. Anthropic is right on their tail, and Google is lurking in the shadows with Gemini. This AI race is turning into a real arms race. Remember, it's not about who starts the race, but who crosses the finish line. Only the strong survive… and the smartest win.

Microsoft and Amazon A Partnership Dilemma

Dresser sent a memo to staffers about OpenAI's alliance with Amazon Web Services. Apparently, their Microsoft partnership was "foundational," but it "limited" their ability to meet enterprises where they are – which, for many, is Bedrock. Bedrock is a cloud platform offered by Amazon Web Services. It sounds like OpenAI is hedging their bets. Smart. Never put all your eggs in one basket… or all your blue meth in one RV.
