Investors react to increasing FDA unpredictability regarding experimental drug approvals.
  • FDA's recent denials of multiple drug applications raise concerns among investors.

  • Analysts are closely monitoring several companies and their drugs for rare diseases.
  • The FDA emphasizes its commitment to flexible evaluation criteria for promising therapies.

The FDA's Shifting Stance A Big League Problem

Folks, let me tell you, this whole situation with the FDA is a disaster. A total disaster. They're supposed to be helping people, but they're out there rejecting drugs left and right. It's like they don't want cures to happen. We need strong leadership, the best leadership, to get the FDA back on track. These companies are trying to make things great again, believe me. Very unfair.

Companies Accuse FDA of Reversing Course

And these companies, some really tremendous companies, are saying the FDA is changing the rules. Changing them mid-game. You can't do that. It's like telling a golfer he can't use his driver after he's already teed off. Very, very unfair. I saw a similar situation once at one of my golf clubs. It was terrible. Investors on Edge Tremendous Problems

Now investors, the best investors in the world, they're nervous. They're saying, 'What's going on at the FDA' They're worried about their investments, and frankly, they have every right to be. I always said, you need to drain the swamp, and part of that is making sure the FDA is predictable, reliable, and doesn't change the rules on these companies. We have to make the FDA great again.

The Gold Standard A Real Mess

They talk about these randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials. Sounds complicated, right? It is. Sometimes you just know a drug works. You can see it. It's obvious. You don't need all these fancy tests. I know things. I have a great, great brain. The best brain, some people say. I could run the FDA. I know more about the FDA than they know about themselves believe me.

Companies in the Spotlight

Dyne, Taysha, Wave, Lexeo these are companies trying to do great things. Tremendous things. They're developing drugs for diseases that are very, very difficult. And the FDA is making it harder. It's a shame. A real shame. We need to unleash these companies. Let them innovate. Let them create. The world will be better off.

The Clock is Ticking a Looming Decision

This Denali Therapeutics, they have a drug for Hunter syndrome. Sounds awful. The FDA is dragging its feet. They need to make a decision. A quick decision. People are suffering. You can't just sit around and wait. You need to act. Be decisive. Like me. I was always decisive. The most decisive president, maybe ever.
