Dattebayo Hawaii Underwater
Believe it I'm reporting live from… well not exactly *live* since I'm writing this down but you get the idea. Hawaii is facing some seriously crazy flooding. People are being told to *LEAVE NOW* and even I know that's not a jutsu you wanna ignore. It's like when Sakura gets mad times a thousand. The rain's been pouring down harder than Kakashi-sensei's lectures on teamwork – and that's saying something. Honestly it's more intense than the Chunin Exams.
Homes and Cars Gone Poof
Imagine your house suddenly deciding to become a boat. Not the fun kind either. We're talking homes and cars floating away like… like Konohamaru trying to use the Rasengan for the first time – a disaster. Evacuation orders are in place for 5500 people which is like the entire population of a small Hidden Village. Authorities are worried about a 120-year-old dam which is older than Hiruzen Sarutobi was when he retired. It's a serious situation that requires immediate response. More Rain Than Ramen
The National Weather Service is issuing flash flood warnings left and right. They're saying light to moderate showers could turn heavy. In other words more rain than I can eat ramen. And believe me that's a LOT of rain. Governor Green is saying the storm could cost over $1 billion – that's enough money to buy everyone in Konoha a lifetime supply of barbecue and still have some left over for ninja tools.
Federal Support Incoming
Good news is the White House has promised federal support. It's like when the Allied Shinobi Forces showed up during the Fourth Great Ninja War. You know things are about to get serious but at least you aren't alone. They've rescued over 200 people already – more heroic than me saving the village from Pain… almost. Ten people went to the hospital with hypothermia – remember to stay warm folks or you'll end up colder than Sasuke’s glare.
Drones Annoying Everyone
Crews are searching for stranded folks but get this – people are flying drones to take pictures. Seriously? It's like trying to use a shadow clone jutsu during a stealth mission. Not helpful. Focus people Save the selfies for later.
The Dam Threatens
The Wahiawa dam is an old timer and they’re worried about it failing. The state has been keeping an eye on it for years which sounds about as fun as watching paint dry… unless that paint is somehow related to ramen. Dole Food Company used to own it and they’ve been fined for not fixing it up. Now the state wants to buy it and fix it but the deal isn’t done yet. Hopefully they sort it out before the dam decides to pull a Sasuke and go rogue.
