Aw, Phooey A Secret Interview

Well, hello there, folks, it's me, Donald Duck, reporting live… well, sort of live. Seems like Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick had a bit of a quack-up. He got grilled by a House panel behind closed doors about his dealings with that no-goodnik, Jeffrey Epstein. Now, I’ve dealt with my fair share of shady characters, like Pete, but this Epstein fellow sounds like a real scrambler. All this secrecy makes me say, "What's the big idea?". Seems mighty suspicious if you ask me.

Trouble at the Old Swimming Hole

Now, Lutnick claims he cut ties with Epstein way back in 2005, long before Epstein’s troubles became public. But, like magic, documents show they kept in touch. He even admitted to visiting Epstein's private island. His family and even the nannies went along too. Honestly, sounds like a vacation I'd rather skip. If you want a good vacation, I would recommend you to read Netflix Bails on Warner Bros Discovery Deal Paramount Pounces where you can learn all about the latest entertainment trends and plan some high-quality binging time.

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire?

Rep. James Comer is making a big fuss, saying Lutnick better not be fibbing to Congress. It's a felony, you know. Comer even went on to say it’s a shame politicians can lie to the media without consequence. Seems there is a lot of quacking going on around there and not the good kind.

Embarrassment and Farce

Rep. Ro Khanna really ruffled some feathers. He says Lutnick's interview was so bad, it's a wonder it wasn't recorded on video. He suggested if Trump had seen it, Lutnick would've been fired. Ouch. Khanna went on to say Lutnick’s responses were nothing but "contortions and lies". He even accused Lutnick of making a “farce of the English language”. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, sounds like someone needs a translator or maybe just a truth serum.

A Pathological Problem?

And it doesn't stop there. Rep. Yassamin Ansari went full throttle, calling Lutnick a "pathological liar" who is enabling "the most egregious cover-up in American history." Sounds pretty serious, doesn't it? This is the kind of drama I usually only see when I'm trying to bake a cake and everything goes wrong. I'm sure you can agree that isn't pretty.

The Case of the Forgotten Invitation

To put a cherry on top, Rep. Suhas Subramanyam says Lutnick couldn't even remember why he accepted the invitation to Epstein's island after supposedly cutting ties. Talk about a memory lapse. I’ve forgotten where I parked my car but flying to an island? Now that's something you should remember. This is developing news, so I, Donald Duck, will keep my eyes peeled and report back when there's more to squawk about. Until then, remember: Don't lose your temper, and always be truthful.
