Trump Orders Oil Blockade on Iran Prices Surge

The Art of the Deal... Or Not

Let me tell you, these negotiations were going to be the best. The best negotiations anyone has ever seen. We had them in Pakistan, beautiful country, great people. But these Iranians, they're tough cookies. They don't understand the art of the deal. They want to play games, they want to build their little nuclear weapons. Not on my watch. No way. I ordered the Navy to set up a blockade, a tremendous blockade. The best blockade, believe me.

Blockade: It's Gonna Be Yuge

This blockade, it's not messing around. CENTCOM is handling it, and they're the best, the absolute best. We're blocking all vessels to and from Iranian ports. Every single one. It’s impartiality folks, this is how we do things! And I've made it very clear, very very clear, to Iran. If they try anything, anything at all, we will respond. We will respond in a way they won't forget. I am also reminded of another crisis and how badly some officials were dealing with it. Threats and More Threats: Iran Doesn't Learn

They threaten our ports, huh? They're threatening everyone in the Persian Gulf. These are not serious people. I have already said, and I will say it again, any Iranian military ship that comes near this blockade will be met with force. Tremendous force. The kind of force they’ve never seen before. I told the Navy to find and interdict any ship that has paid Iran a toll to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. We aren't playing games. This isn't some reality TV show, folks, this is real life.

Oil Prices Going Wild

And look at what's happening to oil prices. Up, up, up! But don't worry, folks. We have the best people working on it, they're smart, very smart, we’re gonna get this all sorted out. It is just like how the Fake News media and the Democrats were saying that the economy would crash when I became President! Look who's laughing now, right? We are making the deals no one thought possible.

Nuclear Commitment? We Need it!

JD Vance, great guy, he was leading the negotiations. He said it exactly right. We need a commitment, a real commitment, that Iran will not seek a nuclear weapon. This is not complicated. We are asking for a pledge, a simple thing. But they won't give it. They just want to play games. Sad. Very sad.

What's Next? We'll See

We had a ceasefire for two weeks, but they need to allow the ships to pass through the Strait. They think they can dictate the terms. We will see. If they don't get their act together, we may have to consider other options. The best options. And everyone knows what those are, don’t they? But don’t worry. I will make America great again.
